I too have ths problem, in successive versions of Bridge Beta. I am currently running 14.1.0.236 over up to date Win 10. I have an 18 core processor, 256 GB of ram and an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000. I display in 8k on a Dell UP3218k screen. Each time I start Bridge it immediately freezes and puts up a message that soemthing (unspecified) has gone wrong and to please send an error report. However, it offers no means to do this and the screen is completely frozen: window cannot be closed, have to drop the app in Task Manager. The next time it generally prompts for a password and validation code, which is utetrly infuriating, but then runs as nominal. This really won't do: three successive verions of Bridge have shown the same problem.

On an 8k screen, with Windows adjusted to cope wit hthe resolution,, the menu items are invisible. Using screen magnifier shows that most text is missing and what exists is upside down and at a 30 degree angle. This application has gone from cranky to utterly unusable in the past month.

Good post but inaccurate diagnosis. If you work with a 4 or 8k screen the cursor is totally invisible whatever the background. The basic mouse pointer on OK on the menu regions but vanishes over the image. In Bridge it reduces to a single pixel. Not good enough doesn't hack it. On an 8k screen you get just one black pixel which is utterly impossible to see. Reverts to normal on the edge menus. Utterly hapless and I have next to stopped using the package. The only fix that I have found is a small app called mouse highlighter from catnip5.com. This puts a colour dit in the cursor tip, which remaisn when Bridge hides the cursor. You can set colour and diameter. Tip: Dont enable the "click highlighter" as it generates temporary but confusing artefacts in Pshop.

Agree. Photoshop ios a disaster at high res: I use an 8k screen and the cursors are next to invisible, the menus unreliable. To simple find the cursoe centre, I use a tiny plug in from catnip5.com, called "mouse highlighter". This puts a dot at teh cursor's origin of whatever size and colour that you like. I use 30 px and magenta. Best not to use the highlight option, as this leaves artifatcs in p/shop without offering any advantage. Thiu sis not damned help with the fundamentla problem, which is that brush outlines are completely invisible. Adobe: this has been a problem for at least a decade: DO SOMETHING.

OK: here is a clumsy solution, but it works. Go to catnip5.com and download the free mouse highlighter. This is a tiny exe, which does what it says in the title. Pin it to your taskbar and you can toggel on or off a highlight which can be whatever size and colour that you wants. This makes Bridge useable and p/shop more friendly. The highlight stays with the pixel choice that you make in the native UI. I use magenta and 30px. Hint: in the set up, do not permit "highlighting", as this leaves undesirable brief duistractiosn in p/shop. It adds very little to the utility. Warnoing: if you click "About" you will get a cat wail and a screen that is possible to remove only by killing the app.

Self-reply. You can fix Photoshop and RAW by setting magnification to 400% and script size to around 180%. Everything looks too small, but is usuable. Bridge, however, remains a disaster with the cursor completely hidden. Th s is truly not good enough, Adobe.

I am using a high end computer with a Dell UP3218k monitor and NVIDIA RTX4000 graphics card. I have resolution magnified to 500%, which makes the screen readabel in most apps. However, photoshop and Bridge do not respond and give minuscule font and controls. Thge mouse curson in Bridge, in particular, is a single pixel. This won't do. Searching the net, I have tried the fix Properties => Compatibility => Change DPI settings => Check override DPI settings. In Bridge, this gives a normal looking UI, but the mouse remains invisible and the product is unusable. Photoshop reacts badly, with the UI normal looking but the menues offset and unusuable. Removing this option gives a mor eor less normal system. However, if you fire up RAW from Bridge you get a disaster, with the image being processed shown mostly off screen and the end session buttons concealed. Mouse cursor is small buit usabel, but impotent. There is also a fix mooted which involves side-by-side registry modification, and a file containing code that needs major modification to worlk at all. (Set for AMD, onsolete Windows version.) This has no effect in Bridge and causes run errors in Photoshop, so not recommended. This is a farrago: neither product works with high res screens. I could, no doubt, use a duela setup and throw the image alone onto the 8k screen, but having spent many thousands on this, I am not willing to compromise. Does anyone have a fix to offer?

If you use Piriform CC Cleaner, look to see whether the option "Erase saved passwords" is checked. This has the effetc of removing saved adobe credentials, and so endless log ins.

This web site is peppered with complaints about the creative cloud application. The proposed solutions, including adobe's, do not work. You can erase the application, which doesn't remove the trash files. You can then erase the residual files in /User/. But nothing, nothing removes the desktop icon or whatever it is. I didn't give permission for this installation and it now hangs there like an intrusive blob. How do I get rid of this thing?

I have two printers, both working. I can print images using Windows internal print commands. However, Photoshop CC 20.0.4 crashes immediately - with a Windows prompt, not Adobe - when anything to do with printing is evoked. That is, File > Print dies before any response comes back. The printers are a Samsung and a Canon Pro-1000 A3 printer. Both are fine with other applications. Canon's plug in will run in the absence of an image, but the system crashes if there is an image present. I can print images which cause Photoshop to crash using Windows internal print commands. This is a sudden event, starting on Tuesday 19 March, following an update from Adobe. Work is piling up. Thank you. I already convert to .dng as a first step, and dump the .nefs. However, you can't save to dng from p/shop, which vitiates the entire exercise. So you end up doing colour correction and balance on .dngs, then taking them into p/shop and saving them as something else. Which makes three files types, three purges. As Lr is superfluous to all of that, I have deleted it. And the 15 GB cache that it had built up in my /users/ directory.

> Raw isn't a standard format. Indeed, which is why I specified .dng. Any and all of these .nef, whatever, are altered by the Adobe Raw app I know, with a sidecar - but any further changes that you may make are not saved. This is an anomaly. It means that you have a heap of NEFs that are converted to DNGs which are converted to whatever you export from p/shop. CC is at least able to work directly on NEFs, which CS6 wasn't. It's just a sad mess. As many files are now huge - over a hundred mb, with a grade 12 JPEG from a full sized Nikon D850 image - this generates considerable clutter. As to Lightroom, I've dumped it. You can do the lot in Bridge + P/shop.

Well, that's me in my place. Your insight into what "most" people do, including OP, is no doubt revealing. However, have a a look at your /user/ files and find a couple of Gb of duplicated images. My remark on .raw files is that if I have tweaked them in the filter, taken them into P/shop and done stuff to them I want to save them. I am not permitted to overwrite the source file, or even save in .dng format. This is pretty sad, as it makes .raw an alien that get partially updated and acquires masses of .xml files as sidecars. This is a stupid limitation on workflow, and as most take hundreds of pictures for each one that they use, it is a nonsense to treat the as holy relics. Now snub away. I don't use LR any more, btw.

I'm late to this, but agree with scottg92539156. It's not merely that Lightroom messes around with your files, but it archives them under /user/ in Windows, which is user inaccessible. I have deleted Lightroom altogether due to its unpleasant habits, but these files remain; or would do if I hadn't used a subtle tool that gets around Window's restrictions. I'm not going to reference this as it can do untold damage if you just go in guns blazing.
Adobe has a pretty arrogant way with a person's work flow - why, for example, can you not alter a RAW image in Photoshop? Because A. has taken the arbitrary decision that the original is to be sacrosanct. But almost everyone deletes them once they are processed, so the whole thing si simply mad.

I have a range of Adobe products registered. I recently installed Dreamweaver CS6. This has overwritten this list on the Updater, so eg Photoshop and Illustrator do not now appear on it, and they receive no updates. Equally, the Dreamweaver install does not appear on my on-line list of registered products here at Adobe. Can soemone please tell me how to reset this?
